Start Date: 21st September to be confirmed. Cost : € 250 part funded by HSE, cost to student €50. Duration : 6 days or 14 evenings Start Date : Autumn 2009 Waterford Institute of Technology in association with the HSE (south ) is to offer a course on“ Caring for people with Alzheimer ’ s Disease and Associated Dementias” which includes Management of Challenging Behaviours in Dementia. This course can be run over 6 days or 14 evenings. The course is practise based and is aimed at both formal and informal caregivers, including family members caring for people with different types of dementia. The course will begin in Autumn 08. Day time courses run from 9.15 am to 4.45 pm. Night time course run from 7 pm to 10 pm. The cost of the course is €250. This is funded by the HSE. Cost to the student is €50.
